I’ve not counted. Anyway, however many I say,
somebody else
will take that as a challenge and declare more.
Having acquired and combined the collections of three other people (so
far) with my
own, naturally it’s a good number... but there are also duplicates so
counting unique CDs is not as simple as adding them all up together.
And then, some CD cases actually contain two CDs as a
double-album (or
even three) – so is that one or two (or three)?
It's like the capacity of the engine in a Rolls Royce: “sufficient” is
all you need to know. But here’s a clue (now out of date by a considerable margin!):
